REsponding to our neighbors affected by a Redwood City Fire
On January 30, a devastating fire damaged the apartments of 18 families on Rolison Rd. Thanks to the quick actions of many local community organizations, the families were temporarily relocated to the Fair Oaks Community Center.
Levantar quickly mobilized to provide in-person emotional and spiritual support. Additionally, we established an emergency fund for the affected families. On Sunday and Monday, we received donations of clothing, food, and essential items for families to access as needed.
As we continue to learn of the families’ needs, we are using funds to support them in tangible ways. Families are currently being temporarily housed while repairs are assessed and made. Unfortunately, due to the Super Bowl, affordable temporary options at hotels and motels are severely limited.
