Happy Birthday to Angie
Angie celebrates her birthday in Marzo and we are having an hour of prayer on Viernes, Marzo 13, 7:30 am – 8:30 am.
Dear friends,
Marzo always feels like a season of renewal. As we move toward spring and the hope of Easter, I’m grateful for the many ways you continue to walk alongside ¡Levantar! and the families we serve.
As I celebrate my birthday on Viernes, I enter what most consider the third 3rd of my life. The three-quarter mark presents a powerful opportunity for seasoned leaders to turn their focus to leaving a legacy—a lasting contribution that speaks to our values, vision, and commitment to serving others well beyond their lifetimes. It’s a stage marked not by producing more, but by ensuring that what’s already been produced continues to impact lives for generations to come. The question is, “What will outlive me?”
Soon after, I’ll travel to the border with New Community Church (NCC), a very close and amazing church partner, to participate in a learning pilgrimage with Borderlands, a ministry working alongside communities in Tijuana. While I’ve been on many mission trips over the years, this experience will be different. Our goal isn’t to ask “What can we do?” but rather “How can we listen and stand in solidarity with immigrant families?” This is exactly what we do at ¡Levantar!.
I’m both excited and a little overwhelmed. I would deeply appreciate your prayers—for humility, for wisdom, and for the people and leaders we’ll be learning from.
One meaningful way to celebrate my birthday this year would be to make a gift to ¡Levantar! so we can support students in our community to participate in summer camps.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us.
With gratitude,
Angie Ibarra Miller
